What does the treatment involve?

You will receive a free initial consultation to discuss the best possible treatment for your desired results and after your X-ray and photographs, impressions of your teeth will be taken to make your aligners. Aligners are made from elastic thermoplastic material and work by applying pressure to your teeth to help them move. Depending on the amount of movement required you could receive somewhere between six to forty aligners. The aligners will be in order so you will need to change it every two weeks.

Invisalign are custom-made removable aligners used to straighten teeth that are virtually invisible. Aligners will need to be replaced every two weeks so that they subtly move the teeth over time, progressively moving them towards the desired position. The aligners will move your teeth horizontally and vertically to accomplish the optimum position and, in some cases, they may also rotate.

Invisalign straightening aligners are comfortable and easy to remove for your convenience. They are clear, inconspicuous and have been used by over three million people across the world to achieve a perfect smile without any disruption to your daily life.

How can we help?

You’ll need to wear your Invisalign braces for 20-22 hours per day. And treatment times can vary between 6 months to 2 years. Every treatment journey is unique, and we will let you know how long you can expect to wear your braces during your consultation.

Yes, Invisalign is a more flexible treatment plan that fits in seamlessly with your life. The nearly invisible aligners are discreet and removable, so you can enjoy your favourite foods and care for your teeth as you normally would. Changing the aligners at home also means fewer trips to the dentist.

Yes, you wear your aligners overnight. They are comfortable and discreet, so once you are accustomed to wearing them, you should have no issues.

Since you remove your aligners to eat and drink, no foods are off limits. You cannot chew gum while wearing Invisalign, or enjoy hot drinks. You’ll need to remove your aligners every time you want to eat or drink anything other than water.

  • As I am a very nervous patient from bad experience at a different dental practice. Bhandals in Blackheath are by far the best dental. They are very understanding if you are nervous or have had previous bad experience here at Blackheath Bhandal they put you at ease and make you very comfortable and put the control in your hands and at your own pace and they have a very high duty of care to there patients.   • I am so pleased I came across this dentist on the nhs find a dentist app to be honest what drew me to this practice was the parking situation but that has become insignificant with the treatment I have received from this practice, from my initial consultation to the two treatments I needed I have experienced fabulous treatment. The staff are friendly, the 3 dentists I saw explained everything that was needed and didn’t make me feel pressured into making a decision. I am not sure how they do it they are so efficient that I haven’t had to wait more than a minute or so past my appointment time to be seen my tooth extraction was booked for 8am and I was walking out of the surgery with 1 less tooth at 8.10am but didn’t feel rushed at all. I will highly recommend this dentist surgery to people I know or who need an nhs one.
