What does the treatment involve?
Your first step is to have a free initial assessment with our orthodontist. Together you will then decide what treatment plan is best to achieve your desired results. Metal or ceramic braces are the most traditional method of teeth straightening and ceramic braces are designed to offer a more aesthetically attractive option. The treatment will last between six months and two years depending on the complexity of your needs.
Another, more discreet option, is lingual braces which are attached to the back of the teeth. Lingual braces enable you to smile with confidence during and after treatment. In addition, we also offer Invisalign braces which are clear removable aligners. Due to the advances in orthodontic treatment our patients gain better results within greatly reduced treatment times and are more comfortable than ever.

How can we help?
It depends on the individual, but typically braces will take 6-24 months to work. Everyone is different, so it really depends on the severity of your teeth alignment issues.
This all depends on the individual. Some people report discomfort when they first get their braces put on or adjusted, but others don't feel much at all. It can take some time to adjust to wearing braces, but we will do everything we can to make this comfortable for you.
You should avoid hard, chewy, or sticky foods as they can damage your braces. You should also be careful with crunchy foods like chips as they can break your brackets. Lastly, sugary foods can lead to cavities, so it's best to limit those as well.
Yes, it is important to wear a retainer after getting braces off to ensure your teeth don't shift back to their original position. You will only need to wear your retainer at night time.
